THE Department of Health (DOH) recently turned over TSeKaP Equipment package to local government units (LGUs) in Western Visayas to be used in rural health centers, urban health centers and barangay health stations.

The TSeKaP (or Tamang Serbisyo para sa Kalusugan ng Pamilya) Equipment Package aims to equip LGUs with essential medical equipment that will allow them to provide basic health services to PhilHealth beneficiaries.

Each package contains the following: 2 non-contact thermometers, 1 stethoscope, 1 digital BP apparatus, 1 glucometer set (for measurement of blood sugar), 1 dressing set (for sterile wound care), and 2 nebulizers (for asthma relief).

DOH Secretary Janette P. Loreto-Garin led the ceremonial distribution of the TSeKaP Equipment package for the provinces of Aklan, Capiz and Iloilo, and Iloilo City on March 10-11, 2016 along with DOH-Regional Office VI Director Marlyn Convocar and OIC-ARD Ma. Paz Corrales.
