PERSONNEL of the Department of Health-Regional Office VI (DOH-RO VI) headed by Director Marlyn W. Convocar joined the nationwide simultaneous earthquake drill on June 22, 2016.
Despite of the rainy weather, some 113 employees and clients participated in the exercise - doing the duck, cover and hold position; evacuating in an orderly manner; and gathering in a safe area for evacuation and head count.
The simultaneous earthquake drill was initiated by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) to raise awareness on what to do and what to avoid during and after an earthquake to prevent injury and eventualities as well as to test the response plans of agencies should an earthquake occur.
