ILOILO City – Do not panic. This is the Department of Health’s (DOH) appeal to the people of Western Visayas following one laboratory-confirmed case of Zika infection in Jaro district.
The spread of Zika infection – a mosquito-borne disease – can be averted by keeping surroundings clean, said Dr. Jessie Glen Alonsabe, regional epidemiologist of DOH.
