The Infectious Disease and Environmental and Occupational Health Cluster conducted a revised Dengue Clinical Case Management Training last October 20-21, 2014 at the Eon Centennial Hotel, Iloilo. Fifteen participants from the Province of Negros Occidental attended the said training.
The training aims to establish a standard in the diagnosis and treatment of dengue for all public health facilities and other stakeholders. This will enable participants to discuss AO No. 2012-0006 known as the Revised Dengue Clinical Case Management Guidelines, Identify the revised case classification for dengue and enumerate the general and treatment guidelines for dengue.
It was suggested that the revised Dengue Clinical Case Management should be adapted and implemented in all levels of health care and Dengue diagnosis should be standardized.
