DOH CHD Western Visayas conducts training on Setting up Smoking Cessation Clinic
Tobacco use is the leading preventable risk factor of Non-Communicable Disease such as lung cancer, heart attack and stroke and associated with other diseases such as cervical cancer, emphysema, bronchitis, asthma and other respiratory diseases. Worldwide, tobacco use (both direct and exposure to second hand smoke) has been linked to the development of 47 diseases (US Surgeon General Report).
